Oakland Roots development squad Project 51O will host open tryouts ahead of the team’s Fall Season. These tryouts will take place at 6800 Mowry Ave in Newark, CA. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday August 18th at 8:00 PM.
8/18: Arrival is 7PM with tryouts happening from 8-10 PM.

The tryout will be capped at 50 players. Players can register in advance via the Eventbrite link above. The cost will be $100 per person to ensure attendance on the date registered.
IMPORTANT – All players must be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 and have proof of a negative (molecular PCR) COVID-19 test within 72 hours before the tryouts. Please submit negative test results and proof of vaccination to Manuel Arizmendi via email: manuel@rootssc.com. On the day of the event, before entering the field, each participant must also take a COVID-19 symptom check

Native American Health Center is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and takes walk ups until 4:30 PM.
Native American Health Center is also present on Saturdays at Grand Lake Farmers Market from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM – walk-ups
If you are not yet vaccinated, you can also get vaccinated through Native American Health Center to protect yourself and your community. You do not have to be a NAHC member to receive a vaccine through Native American Health Center.
