Anthem Blue Cross recently teamed up with USA TODAY and award-winning actress Katherine LaNasa, from the popular medical drama The Pitt, to create a five-part video series designed to help people understand healthcare terms, choices, and costs.
“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, everything suddenly became very real — the decisions, the costs, and the need to understand my options,” LaNasa said. “As an Anthem member myself, having support and clarity along the way made a meaningful difference for me and my family.”
Drawing on her own experience, LaNasa uses relatable, real-life examples to help people understand healthcare costs, where to go for care, how to choose a health plan, and using Anthem digital tools for support and guidance.
