At Anthem Blue Cross, we believe supporting our Oakland community goes beyond a single soccer match. It’s about showing up and helping create the conditions that support people living healthier lives.
That’s why Anthem Blue Cross and the Oakland Roots have partnered with Airbnb to refresh the mini-soccer pitch at Lincoln Square Park in the Chinatown neighborhood. Since opening in March, the upgraded space has given local kids and their families a safe place to play, be active, and connect with one another.
Watch this video of a recent youth soccer clinic run by Roots players, joined by community leaders and sponsors helping bring the new space to life.
