“David has been a pillar within our Club since the beginning of Project 51O and this opportunity is testament to his growth alongside the program,” said Oakland Roots Technical Director, Jordan Ferrell. “He’s been embedded in the 51O soccer community as a player and coach for decades and knows this area as well as anyone. The way we approach development in 51O is unique to our Club and we’re excited for him to lead the next stage.”
In addition to David’s appointment, Abdulahi Mohammed, former Project 51O Captain and one of the leaders of Golden Boot Soccer, will step in as an Assistant Coach for the team.
