Club Releases New Preliminary Renderings for Interim Stadium at the Malibu Lot Together With Open Survey for Fans and Community
Oakland Roots and Soul Sports Club has announced an open survey to seek feedback from the community into the design of the Interim Stadium at the Malibu Lot adjacent to the Oakland Coliseum. This survey represents the latest step in the club’s community engagement process ahead of the construction of Oakland’s first, dedicated pro soccer stadium for the 2025 USL Championship and USL Super League seasons.
“We look forward to hearing from our community on their ideas for our new home as the design is further developed,” said Oakland Roots and Soul President Lindsay Barenz. “This stadium is for Oakland and we hope it will be an important pillar in the future development of the city.”
“Oakland Roots and Soul Sports Club are a special beacon of community purpose and impact and I look forward to our continued work together on the Malibu project,” said Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley about the project.
Take the survey below and share it with friends, family, and community members. Fans who become Members in 2024 for Oakland Roots or Oakland Soul will receive priority to select seats in the new stadium when it opens in 2025.
