Oakland Roots Sports Club has entered into a partnership with Oakland International Airport. The partnership will see OAK Airport on the sleeve of the 2023 USL Championship Jerseys.
“We could not be more thrilled to partner with the Oakland Airport,” said Oakland Roots SC Chief Revenue Officer, Steven Powell. “We look to partner with organizations who represent our city with great professionalism and standards like Oakland Airport. The service and convenience they provide to our region is unmatched.”
Fans will see a rebranded Mosaic+ seating section, which is a padded seat option located in the middle of the grand stand; the section will be named I FLY OAK Mosaic+ for the 2023 Season.
Owned and operated by the Port of Oakland, OAK is California’s fourth largest airport, with more than 13 million passengers passing through our gates every year. We’re the closest airport to the region’s top tourism and entertainment venues and the closest airport for most local residents. As the Bay Area’s second largest airport, they’re constantly working to create a world-class travel experience and become the Bay Area’s top choice for leisure and business travelers, air cargo and general aviation operations.
“Oakland Roots is a purpose-driven team that seeks to harness the magic of Oakland and leverage the power of sports as a social force for good,” said Port of Oakland Aviation Director, Bryant L. Francis, adding “In addition to promoting the flights and services available at OAK, we find that this advertising partnership aligns with the Port of Oakland’s core values. We look forward to an exciting season.”
