The next home game is Saturday, September 11th at 7:00 PM vs San Diego Loyal, when Roots will be hosting Oakland Pride Celebration Night. A portion of all tickets purchased will be donated to the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center. The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center is a multi-ethnic, intergenerational, LGBTQ community multi-service center, one of very few led and founded by African Americans, and the first in the state of California.
Pride in the Park, an LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness festival will be taking place throughout the day on Saturday September 11th at Oakland's Lake Merritt. We encourage Roots fans to stop by to partake in the festivities.
Local LGBTQ organizations will be recognized throughout the night, as we celebrate the work of two pioneering organizations fighting for equality and access for the LGBTQ community in the game of soccer in the Bay Area, like the San Francisco Spikes and Imperiales FC.
