
Oakland, CA – Oakland Roots have added the veteran presence of Kai Greene to the roster ahead of the first rivalry match with Sacramento Republic FC on June 2nd. Greene has more than 100 USL appearances to his name bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to Roots.
Following his college career, Kai Greene had trials with German clubs Borussia Neunkirchen and SV Elversberg in 2015. Kai returned to the United States to sign his first professional contract with Rio Grande Valley FC in the USL Championship ahead of their club’s inaugural season in March 2016. He would go on to make 68 appearances and score one goal for the south Texas club. After three seasons in Mcallen, Texas, Greene would join San Antonio FC where he would spend the 2019 and 2020 season earning 42 appearances with the club.
Greene will be available for the game on June 2nd vs Sacramento Republic FC.
