Oakland, CA – Oakland Roots Sports Club today have announced the addition of two more Project 51O players earning Academy Contracts with the first team. Julio Martinez and Juan Sanchez have both been added to Oakland Roots roster ahead of the weekend.
“Seeing youth from Oakland earning opportunities with the first team is incredibly important to manifesting our club’s principles,” said Oakland Roots Technical Director, Jordan Ferrell. “Julio and Juan truly know what it will mean to represent The Town and our club and we look forward to this next stage of growth for them.”
Julio Martinez is a 17-year-old forward, from Oakland, California. The 1974 Newark FC and Cristo Rey De La Salle High School product will wear the number 47 for the first team.
Juan Sanchez 17-year-old forward from Oakland, California. The East Bay United Bay Oaks and Latitude High School product will wear the number 52 with the first team.
