Mask Up!
Oakland Roots is committed to the health and safety of our fans, employees and community. In line with the recommendations of the CDC and Bay Area Counties everyone – including fully-vaccinated people – is required to wear a mask indoors in public settings to prevent the spread of COVID 19. Even though Laney is primarily an outdoor venue, we’re encouraging fans to wear masks at all times, and will have masks readily available if you need one.

We are supporting the Alameda County Department of Public Health in encouraging everyone to get vaccinated if you are eligible and help stop the spread of COVID 19 and protect our community. Extra Care
A number of health and safety measures remain in place at Laney. Please take advantage of the many contactless hand sanitizing stations positioned around Laney Stadium to keep your hands clean, Restrooms and portable toilets on East 10th St will be regularly cleaned and sanitized on gameday. All concessions and vendors will be cashless.
Feeling sick? Stay home.
If you feel sick and are experiencing any of the symptoms below, please stay home and contact our Ticketing Team to reschedule your visit. By entering Laney Stadium, fans are confirming that they are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the CDC at CDC.gov, including:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Not tested positive for COVID-19 or experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days
- Not been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or experienced COVID-19 symptoms [in the last 14 days] or [without completing a 14-day quarantine]
